Agency: Gryffin Media / Client: TeenSafe / Role: Copywriter, Content Manager
In 2015, TeenSafe became a Member Benefits Provider of the National Parent-Teacher Association, offering discounts to NPTA members, as well as a nation-wide fundraiser for local PTA chapters. I was tasked with developing multiple content assets to help promote this partnership, as well as TeenSafe’s message of providing parents with the proper tools to protect their children in the digital age.
The approach was twofold: creating landing pages, presentations, flyers, and other assets to directly promote the fundraiser; as well as producing a year-long campaign around The TeenSafe Parenting Guide to Tech Safety. The guide, available as an article, infographic, video, and PDF for print publication, is in-depth look into the risks teens face online, and how parents can protect them, with an emphasis on communication, strong boundaries, and supervision. The campaign was distributed by the NPTA as well as through public relations and link-building channels.
The results: A sustained partnership with the NPTA and a large increase in both organic traffic, backlinks, and sign-ups, helping TeenSafe reach 1 million registered parents.
